Pentacon 135mm f/2.8 lens.
Browsing an old 'Amateur Photographer' magazine from 1976, I noted the difference in price between the Pentacon 135mm f/2.8 and the Nikon Nikkor 135mm f/2.8. The Pentacon was definitely in the budget league at around £20, whereas the Nikkor cost over £100. The Nikkor provides good fidelity, sharpness, and contrast. The Pentacon - which I believe is a rebadged Meyer Optik Oreston - is a nice lens to use for its rendition of colour but at wide apertures it is a bit soft and dreamy and can need an injection of contrast in post processing.
